Parent Volunteers
Program Goal
Our goal is to build a championship program and we are making measurable progress toward this goal, in the classroom and on the field. In 2009, 99% of the varsity football players returned to the team, academically eligible and strengthened by off-season conditioning and strength training. The team doubled their win total from the prior year and experienced fewer injuries. 93% of the 2009 senior class will attend college in the fall, and 33% of those graduates plan to play football. In the past two years combined, 95% of all seniors participating in the ETHS Football program have gone on to enroll in college. As we continue to gain momentum on and off the gridiron, we are pleased with the growth we see in our players.
Support
Evanston Football continues to hold a prominent role within the ETHS community, especially among students and their families. All levels combined, over 170 athletes participate in the Football Program at the high school. A program of this magnitude has the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of people within the community and beyond. This also means that we must rely on support, ranging from volunteer time to financial assistance, all of which provides the program assistance with basic operation for continued growth and progress towards building a championship program.
In 2009, donations to the ETHS Football Program allowed us to provide over $20,000 in scholarships to our players with financial need.
Building a Championship Program
Winning football programs have strong parent participation. Our program and it's student athletes would like to thank all of those individuals who have found a moment to lend their support. We encourage participation at all levels of the program and we make every effort to ensure that this process is simple and easy to understand.
